imageWell, Joel, I began my smoking career with L and M's because that is what my parents smoked and of course, mom said it was ok, way back then, to go on ahead and smoke hers. Geez, what parents won't do for their kids! In college I switched to Malboros because that's what all my friends smoked and then after I married and was at the market one day, I saw this deal...buy 1, get 1 free and the name was Tall. Tall's were great..tasted good and were 120's. When I was trying to quit, a about 4 years ago, my co worker stopped ordering Tall's for me and another customer at the drugstore I worked in. We were angry. Our supply of heavy duty cigarettes were cut off. At that point I switched to Marlboro Lights and then ended up with Marlboro Ultra's, first the 100's and at the very end, kings. BTW, Tall's were NOT generic. They were American Tobacco's and I found out, after I quit that they are just about number 1 on the list with the most nicotine, tars and other harmful ingredients,,,,and the other customer who smoked Tall's and quit 2 months after me and the identical age as me, found out that she had emphysema pretty bad.
But, like Joel says, addiction is addiction and no matter what brand we smoked they are all deadly. We sell lots of cigarettes where I work, and while some are concerned about the price, the end result is....an addict may argue about their prescription prices or the cost of milk, but, will smoke just about anything or pay just about anything to get the next nicotine fix.
