Please, dont ever forget why you are here. To break free from the grip of a terrible addiction that will cost you in ways that are unimagineable. It doesnt
matter how strong you are... how young/old you are...if you smoke a little or a lot. It eventually gets everybody in one way or another.
I just learned this morning that Doctors have discovered a lump inside a friend of mines lung. (41 years old) It is unknown if it is cancerous or not, and
really it is beside the point. The scare is very real.
What I'm trying to say is; our immediate thought is that it is lung cancer. Why? Because he is a smoker. A society's view goes something like this
"He smokes, therefore he did it to himself." Right or wrong this statement may be, we all know the truth. The truth being the addiction held an
awful grip on us for a very long time and in times like these we ask ourselves the one true question; Is it really that hard to quit?
Will you be staring at that x-ray saying; "I wish I would have quit years ago"....
This is your chance. Do it now. You may have what seems to be difficult days, but I'm sure my friend would love to trade places with any one of you
right now, even those who perceive today to be a bad day.
Unfortunately he is STILL a smoker even after the discovery 2 weeks ago. This is the same friend who told me I would be back smoking within a month cause he
didnt feel anybody could actually break the addiction. I'm sure he is about to get educated on the matter of nicotine addiction.
He is just scared of what society has built up in our minds to be impossible...the breaking of the addiciton. This board is proof positive that it can be
done and that it SHOULD be done.
Nicotine is no joke. If it can control you even after such a discovery, I want nothing to do with it. Never again my friends. Master yourself, so that you
can service others!
I'm not looking for responses to this post, nor do I want to use "scare tactics" for motivation, but this is reality. Just a reminder to all
why we are here. The stakes cant get any higher...we are fighting for our lives.
Take care of yourselves.
