Hello all here at whyquit.com ,
I turned triple gold on Jan2,2007 . I tried about a week later to post here and let everyone know I am still nicotine free and loving it! For some reason I
wasn't able to log in ....... but i'm here now , hope ya'll don't mind me celebrating late .
I was so happy yesterday ...... my children are 10 and 13 this month and both informed me they cannot even remember me with a cigerette .
That pleased me so much . I want to be a good role model for them and I always felt guilty when I smoked and they seen me I'm so happy they were able to
get that bad memory out of their heads . As for me I still think about smoking once in awhile the urge comes but i'm so shocked that its only a few
second thought .
To everyone , I know you have all heard this before but i'm going to say it anyways .
If I can quit anyone can , I was a 2-3 pack a day smoker for over 15 years . I couldn't do anything without smoking ....... even housework I look back at
that all now and laugh at myself , I would wash my dishes and then while rinsing I would have a cigerette in my other hand , same with vaccuming and
everything else . I always had a cig . I remember one time my daughter was vaccuming with her toy dirt devil she was around 3 all of a sudden I seen you back
her dirt devil up to the end table and pretend she is flicking ashes into the ashtray that deffinatly did not make me feel good about myself .
Its amazing being nicotine free ,just being able to accomplish any task on my own without the vice I was a slave to for so long . -laughs- well I think
i've rambled on long enough . Remember never take another puff .
Thank you , Mer
