I hope this is fit subject for a new thread, if not, sorry... but I'm having a problem here, guys...
The first week of my quit, my still-smoking husband was away on business and only home for 2 days on the weekend. This week he's here all week. Oy vey.
It is not that I am being tempted by his smoking - quite the opposite. He STINKS. When he comes in from the garage (which is where we smoke(d)) the smell
from his jacket makes my eyes water. So okay, I can just go into the other room. But if he comes and sits beside me within a half hour of smoking, the smell
is just horrible. And when he gets in bed at night, it's like to die!!
I hate to nag at him... he's been good and supportive, keeping his packs put away and not complaining if I'm a bit short tempered. Moreover, during a
period when I was still smoking and he had quit, he never said one "stinky" word to me, so now that the situation is reversed, I don't feel
that I'm in a position to complain about him. Of course, I hope he just decides to quit again, but in the meanwhile... can someone hold out hope that
I'll get used to this smell?
Light,
Beth
