Update..... first of all , I want to thank you all so much for the outpouring of love
and prayers. I printed out all your responses and placed them in a folder. Mike read them all with tear filled eyes, but he feels stronger knowing that so
many people are praying for him. He also hopes that he can help someone to quit smoking and stay quit by sharing his story via me.
Today his doctor had to put him in the hospital because he had weakened to a point that he couldn't go through the
process of cancer staging as an outpatient. Tomorrow, he will begin the process of many scans to try to determine if the cancer is isolated to one spot.
For those of you that may have gone through this before , you know what I mean. If you read Kim's story you will learn more about the scans .
My Health( Kim has her update on the board at this time also... God
Bless her.) That's it for now... will update in the coming days... love to you all..

I am adding to my original
post to let all of you know what is going on. This past week has been so busy. Mike was in the hospital last week and the staging was
completed. He is a stage 4 non small cell lung cancer. Cancer was detected in 3 areas... the stump of the right lung (that was removed in
April 2001), the lymph nodes on that side and on the adrenal glands on the left side. Yesterday we started on chemotherapy. Needless to say ,
I haven't had time to post and give my usual level of support here. I do however read and keep up with what is going on here.
I want to thank all of you
for your kind thoughts and prayers.
Just know that withdrawl
from smoking may be hard, but it can't begin to compare to the suffering of having lung cancer or witnessing a person you love having lung
cancer. Hug your quits tight and NTAP.
Ten months, one week, 13 hours, 5 minutes and 45 seconds. 12541 cigarettes not smoked,
saving $1,812.29. Life saved: 6 weeks, 1 day, 13 hours, 5 minutes.
