I just wanted to stop in and say hi. I have been nicotine free for just over 80 hours, wow it seems like longer than that!! I was a full time smoker for 12
years and part time for 18, I just turned 41. This isn't the first time I have quit, but it is the first time I haven't cheated and let me tell ya
it has been tough. The withdrawls have been terrible and even typing this is a chore because the computer area/ basement was my smoking haven.
My main reason for quitting is my Daughter (and her 2 brothers and sister), she has been after me for a few years to quit and I have always said I would some
day. Well she suggested that I pick a day and not smoke for that whole day and we could spend all day doing something together, which would take my mind off
of smoking. That day was Sunday and I decided to just take it to the next step.
I keep saying just one day at a time and if necessary one minute at a time. I look forward to the help this forum will give me as I start this new chapter
in my life.
Regards,
Bob
