I did it! Wow, I have now been nicotine free for a whole year ~ Quite an amazing achievement for me. If you had told me a year ago that I would be smoke
free and that I would never have a craving I'd told you to go take a long walk off a short pier ~ But now that it really has happened I am lost for
words....
For all you newbies just joining us here - I will tell you something that you've probably heard over and over again. IT DOES GET EASIER. The cravings
go away, your lungs will heal and you can quit without gaining weight.
That was always my biggest obstacle to overcome - the weight - I thought that I could never lose weight and quit smoking - well I did - I quit last April and
as of today I have lost all my weight I gained because plain and simple I can exercise now and I do regularly. I pay attention to what I eat and I can run 6
miles. My next goal is to run a marathon !
I am so thankful to Joel and everyone else at this web site - I loved to lurk in the beginning (and still do on occasion) and never felt the need to post.
Just knowing that I was accountable to this web site and it's strict member requirements kept me going. Thank you again for my new found freedom and I
will always keep in my mind....Never take another puff.
Sarah
