Today is June 24, 2002 and Alyson is pleased to announce that she has been clean of nicotine for an entire month!
I celebrate having proved to myself that not only is there life without smoking, there's a better life without smoking.
I celebrate rediscovering the personality and a touch of the innocence that my addiction took over when I was 16 years old.
I celebrate no longer stunting feelings with nicotine and experiencing life with all the depth of emotion that the journey offers.
I celebrate reclaiming my birthright to live FREE of nicotine and TAKING MY LIFE BACK.
I celebrate the Freedom knowledge that taught me what I needed to know.
I celebrate my wonderful Freedom family whose support and guidance have empowered me to save my own life.
I CELEBRATE GREEN!!!!!!!!
The challenges come at me less and less frequently, but my quit still feels pretty raw. While I wouldn't call this comfortable, my experience so far and the experiences of those who've gone before give me faith that the rest of my healing is just a matter of time. And as a wise man once told me, there's an awful lot of life to be lived while dinner's cooking! So fa, la, la, la, la, LET'S PARTY!!!!!!!!!
You know what? Even if this is as good as it gets, it would be worth it just to have my dreams back.
Bless you all!
I am honored and grateful to be
Your GREEN quit sister,
Alyson
Bring on the gravy!!!!!!
