Hello Everyone and thank you for allowing me to join. My name is Sue, I am 51 years old. On Feb. 18, after 32 years of smoking, I quit cold turkey. Today is day 16. Some of you might think 16 days is great, but, ...hmmm...I think I was doing better during my first week. The novelty of quitting has worn off, I am not getting the words of encouragement from my family like I did in the beginning, but worst of all, I am having a hard time because I keep listening to the nicotine. You know how a crave is supposed to last 2-3 minutes? I find myself thinking about smoking for hours. It is very depressing and stressful. I dont know how to turn it off! Does anyone have any tips for me, so I can learn to stop listening to the drug? Thanks....hanging in there....
