Day 5 of freedom from nicotine today
Already I breathe deeper; smell better; taste more and have cash in my wallet 2 weeks out from pay day (!). The cramps in my legs and feet that have plagued me for some time now have disappeared (this an unexpected bonus) and the craves of the first few days have largely dissipated.
Learning the law of addiction has been my biggest breakthrough enabling me to finally break free and I'm delighted to be spared the ongoing torture of living at the mercy of my brain's cry for nicotine. Any brief flash of envy at the sight of other smokers is soon replaced by pity as I remember they too would love to be free.
I would like to know how long it took others before the smoking thoughts subsided. Getting a bit sick of thinking, dreaming, talking cigarettes!
