I did some browsing tonight for the first time in ages, wondering where Freedom will move to. I will keep my eye on that thread Freedom will be moving to a new home! Thanks, Johnny Cakes.
Anyway, I clicked on a few old friends' names to view their profiles and see when they were last here. The first several I looked at were no longer members... EXCEPT I know for a fact that they are still nicotine-free because we have kept in touch off-board. So then I looked for a thread I recall about do not assume a former member has relapsed. I remember being suspicious as a Newbie. Could so many really benefit from Freedom, remain nic-free, and then just wander away into their real life, so comfortable that they don't even bother to retain their membership? LOL!! Yuppers, folks. It is amazing and I so often forget what an amazing thing I did with my friends here.
Well, I couldn't find the thread so I thought I ought to tell you anyway, and start a parade for old times' sake. I won't be posting an annivesary thread this year. Posting was so important the first year, and even during the second a few times, I was so glad to post. Nowadays I am impressed by Newbies. Two of my clients are Newbies lurking here. You won't ache for a cigarette forever. I promise, as long as you stick to the commitment you have made to yourself. Read everything you can here at Freedom in order to arm yourself for trigger-busting, until they have dwindled so much that you can just laugh. And that will be sooner than you think if you just keep celebrating!!
