Greetings all,
This is my first post and I am on day 5 of my quit.
I have smoked for the better part of 35 years, a typical 1 pack a day smoker, sometimes less, sometimes more. Several years ago I quit for 7 weeks, but then took a business trip to China and took that one puff! I know now from all the reading and listening I have done that the 1 puff stopped the whole quit.
I will always be on guard and Never Take Another Puff!
For the last year I have not smoked at all during the work day. I refused to go outside and stand in the cold and snow just for a cigarette. I think that is why the withdrawal for me has been mild. I have been going through mini withdrawals for a year.
I feel great, I feel more alert, and I already have more energy - I can really feel an improvement and it is only day 5! I can't wait to see what it feels like in Month 5.
Thanks for all the great information! I'll keep you all posted on how my quit is going.
